Should pay be the same in all the US for the same job, or should the pay be based on the job and location? Example : cashier at Walmart in NYC makes $16 and one in a small town in Mississippi makes $8

This is one of the major flaws in a federal min wage law.
Min wage in a small town in Nebraska should be very different than in NYC.

I make good $ but the cost of living here is crazy.. I'm looking for a new condo ...If I move 10 miles up to the next county.. I could afford a really nice place.. Which brings me to my next question...

Wages are higher in places where things cost more, and I think that that's a pretty good way to do things.

Wish it was like that here in Florida .

Well, I was just thinking about places like NYC compared to places like rural Indiana. You can make almost double in New York what you can here for the same job, but the cost of living is just about double as well.

In NYC they make min wage there as they do in Indiana.. Yes some jobs do.. But very few adjust to locations.

Where I work, everyone makes the same here than anywhere in the us.
