If the worst thing that happened to the country was a BJ, then I think we can say it went pretty well.

Not so much re: the blue dress, etc. However, I must compliment him on working with the republican congress to reform welfare, reduce spending, stimulate the economy & generate a surplus during the republican years of House control.

Took credit for the Internet boom. Raised taxes, invented new taxes on gas, ignored attacks and warnings to contribute to the clean up job Bush was blamed with in order to keep his time of peace. Then get impeached as he lies about an affair. Swell!

Khobar Towers bombed, 19 Airmen killed - no response. USS Cole bombed, 17 Sailors killed - no response. Somalia, 18 Soldiers killed to include dead bodies dragged through the streets of Mogadishu - no response. Good President? I think not...

Even as a conservative I'll say he was a good president but lousy person. He did balance the budget even though he was forced to. I believe our current president is a good person but lousy president.

There was no surplus, he was billions off and the so called balanced budget was done by using Social Security funds.

Absolutely. The thing about Clinton was that, unlike others, when he made a mistake, he admitted it. He did his best, and was both a "man of the people" and a leader. By far the best president of the last fifty years.

10/20/13 5:11 pm

Really? Remember "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."? He only admitted it when DNA showed up. Typical liberal revisionist history.

I belie gpmino was referring to mistakes in the political sense. His personal life should not taint his accomplishment.

I'm not suggesting the Lewinsky affair was okay. As a husband, he was lacking. But as a leader, he was not.

And don't blame republicans because from day one the president made it clear that he would only do things his way. He is a divider, not a united.

Regardless of party it wasn't until Obama that things really started to fall apart because he is a divider and is not wiling to compromise.

Clintons success will be forever tainted by repealing Glass Steagle . The second he allowed Banks to gamble with savings and loan, bet against derivatives, and take insurance out to cover their losses...we were doomed to crash.
