If you own an clothes iron, where do you store it?
Top of fridge with can of starch.
We have a "closet". That houses the washer and dryer. With cabinets for storage above the machines. The iron is in that cabinet.
I love the "if".
I love my typo "an clothes iron", lol
Btw you have 224 and never a poll published, that's impressive! :D
(Ok bye, I'm done spamming)
Thanks, Carrie, and thanks for noticing.
In the hall closet and then I just pull it out as needed.
I thought of putting it there, with the sheets and stuff. Maybe one day I will to "switch it up".
On a shelf in the mud room which is adjacent to the laundry room.
On ironing board in guest bedroom.
^^THIS^^ - the laundry room is too small
On the ironing board in the sewing room.
My laundry room is also an activty room, big table that we play cards, I sew at, fold clothes on, flat screen tv and of course w/d. It also has a storage room attracted, that where we keep the iron and ironing board on the back of that door.
It's never put away. It's next to the ironing board in my sewing room on a high shelf the cays don't get up on. I can't remember the last time I used it to iron clothing though, sometime last year. Foldable hang able cotton knits, etc. these days.
In my sewing room. People actually keep irons in the laundry room?? Weird. I never have. Maybe it's because I've sewn most of my life and have far more use for it by the sewing machine. :-)
Are you a quilter??
Sometimes! LOL. I haven't done much quilting lately. Mostly fixing ripped out knees and making new clothes for my daughter who keeps getting taller but not rounder. :-)
Normally, in the laundry room, but since I started sewing again, it's in the dining room with all my sewing stuff.
The laundry room. Yes, I actually iron. I have a lot of dress shirts which need ironing, after all...
Of COURSE you iron! So does TMS (shhh). It's kinda hot, in more ways than one ;)
I have no other choice... No one else will do it for me. I need ironed shirts and they're not going to iron themselves!
ha, I think I had just envisioned you with massive piles of dry cleaning, MrL. but irons work, too. :)
All of the things you could envision me doing and it's ironing? :) lol
I kind of figured he used laundry service too. But also seems like a do it yourself kind of guy since he cooks amazing sounding meals for himself too.
I dry clean my dry clean only clothes. :P
Other than those, I do everything myself. I don't like being wasteful.
Does the garage count as the laundry room if that's where the washer dryer is?
Yes, lol :)
Follow up poll- Do you keep your car in your laundry room?
No.. What, do you expect me to do my laundry in the driveway? That's where I keep my car. Doing laundry out there would be just..ridiculous.
My bedroom closet. My bed room getting ready is where I use it so it's convenient.
Used to be in my laundry room, but lately in my bedroom closet. (I don't have an ironing board so I iron on the bed). Now I can't decide if I want it out of sight or handy on a shelf :P
The real question is how often you use it, I suppose.
How often will YOU be using it? Just teasing. I think I found the perfect spot. Handy, but not visible when you walk in the closet. Right next to the towels :)
People iron? well, I missed that memo.
I don't often. I usually use the dryer, lol
I couldn't even tell u where my iron is. I think it's in my bedroom somewhere. I guess I bet I could find it fairly easy if I had to. I just use the dryer like CarrieMarie or don't iron at all like Inge :)
I can't remember the last time I picked up an iron...
Next time you're over, we'll use it as a dumbbell (while listening to the dryer serenade us). Gotta get *some* use out of the thing... ;)
And yes....I am Iron Man.
I read that as the intro to the Black Sabbath song in my head.
I have an antique iron that you heat up on the stove or something, I keep it as a doorstop, so different rooms.
Do you use it as an iron?
No, just decoration.
