You've been frequenting an eatery for their delicious blue crab sandwich. One day you hear they have been fined and almost lost their licence because it's imitation crab. They lowered the price and noe advertise correctly. Do you still go there?

I may ask for one concession free meal for the false and more costly expectations.

I eat food because of 3 reasons.

A. It is served to me.
B. Good food tastes awesome.
C. It fulfills a nutritional need.

If it's nutritious and tastes good, I'd still eat it. But I don't enjoy imitation crab, so I doubt that I'd have enjoyed it in the first place.

Anything as long as it isn't human meat.

I don't think I would have been fooled. Crab and surimi taste very different to me.

So that's what it's called. I chose it because it's about the only imitation meat that might fool me. Soy goulash certainly won't.

I'd feel that I can't trust them, so I may not do business with them for that reason. But I may also just really love their "crab" and get over it.

Is be pretty mad if I was shelling out (yuck yuck lol) money for the real thing, only to find out it was fake. I wouldn't stop eating there based on the actual food, but on the principles/morals of the situation

I'd be miffed but would still eat there. If I'm a known regular, I'd ask for a discount maybe. I am usually pragmatic.

If you don't or can't eat shellfish replace with something else.
