They are often more like adults that act like children.

I have two teenage grandsons. They are absolutely more like adults than children.

I know everybody is different and you can't generalize, but I voted "adult."

Hormones 'a ragin', driven by impulses, more concerned with sex than with babies, more concerned with getting drunk than actually appreciating a fine whiskey or craft brew. It might not be a pretty picture, but it's sadly accurate for where I live.

Can children drive cars? Obtain a pilots license? Join the military?

Teens are like adults, not children.

It's odd, I feel that at times teenagers act mature than their adult counterparts. Especially here on this app. Compared to the vitriol some people spew here, the young adults seem fairly diplomatic. There are always exceptions though...

It all depends on the individual.

It's the fact that you think that which makes you childish

Teenagers are more like teenagers. They sometimes act more one than the other, but they aren't either.

It varies from person to person to person.
Some are childlike, and some are adult-like. However - there are many adults who act like children.
I'd say more adult-like than childlike.

13, 14, 15 year old I'd still consider children, but anything 16+ is much more adult.

Any particular reason?

I mean it's not so black and white because its a transformation from childhood into adulthood but that's mostly the line I follow

Fiat- basically what femme said. It takes time to become an adult. You don't turn 13 and automatically grow up.

That being said, there are teens who are very mature, and 30 year olds who still act like kids.
