Is love a luxury or a necessity?
It is a necessity that you can live without.
I think love is an ABSOLUTE necessity, in SOME form. The Greeks divided love into 4 distinct variations:
Agápe: Spiritual, selfless;
Éros: Physical, passionate;
Philia: Brotherly love between friends, community;
Storge: The bond between parent/child.
To someone who's never been loved, it is a luxury that is desperately necessary.
Absolute necessity. Ask any survivor of abuse.
I'm with ya, girl! :)
100 percent necessary for your mental well-being
I think love of some kind is a necessity for a civilized human life. Not necessarily adult romantic love, but the feeling of being loved at some point in one's life.
Well it certainly is luxurious. I would say that relationships are necessary because it's the way we were created. Loving someone is extra!
It isn't necessary, so it must be a luxury.
We, as humans, need love (at the very least companionship) of some sort in our lives. Those who don't are considered to be psychologically deficient.
Love is a luxury
Psychologically? A necessity.
Love is a score in tennis.
Isn't love (or touch) one of the 4 basic human needs? Food, water, shelter, touch. I would also add that being cared for (even in emotion alone) and caring for others, is almost certainly a necessity.
Me being "One of" your guys
I'm truly starting to believe it's a necessity.
I don't know if I've mentioned this, but i wanna know what love is. I mean, truly know..and feel..and reciprocate ...
:) You have such a sweet side Rob!
Shhh.. Don't tell anybody.
I am a giant teddy bear. It's only when someone pokes the bear do I really show my teeth..
To be healthy, that is. Maybe not to be living.
i agree with you. i survive every day without it, but it would be nice to know it
I'd have no reason to live without love.
