"The worst evils which mankind has ever had to endure were inflicted by bad governments." -Ludwig von Mises
The German government circa 1939-1945 might help prove this.
Disagree... Now if that said bad government decisions I would probably agree.
I think he's meaning true evil, whether hitler (government) or the plague (biology, trade, not government) not the us government by the fact it's a government
Even the plague was made worse by bad government decisions. Governments are not evil. Sometimes the people heading them are, or they are run by idiots, but the organizations aren't evil. Even the Nazis attempted to assassinate Hitler 5 times.
True, although overall, the plague wasn't the governments of Europe and Asia fault, and while there were Germans who stood up to hitler, most didn't. I agree governments aren't evil btw
Look at this crap we are on now... Absolutely true
Yeah. Government shutdowns and political fighting. That's so terrible. It's like the Holocaust and the Crusades wrapped into one.
As Yoda might say, "Perspective you do not have."
I LOVE IT! I love Mises to pieces.
... run by governments.
Other way around.
All of them? Or just most. Or just some?
Most yeah. A large amount weren't but the majority yes. That said that isn't an excuse to hurt the populace by withdrawing positive government either
Define positive government that is in place today.
Helping the needy. I know we'll disagree...
I'll spare the debate then haha
Hmm. I'll agree, for now
