I think we just have a bad guy problem, like every other nation in the history of Earth.

I believe it's more of a not enough handguns in the hands of law abiding citizens kind of problem.

First sentence is incorrect;
second sentence is correct. Third sentence is needed: "And not enough handguns in the hands of law-abiding citizens!"

Not enough handguns in the hands of good guys.

It's actually easier to get a fun if you are a criminal Ethan if you follow the rules. Craziness.

Classic set up to "MOAR laws!" No, I'm so sick of my rights being infringed on

Question is how do I get them, without giving up mine, & you're have to pry it from my cold dead hands

That's not a handgun problem. That's a "bad guy" problem.

Yes. But so much "cleaner" to present it as *handgun* problem. Based on results.

So how many people die each year from auto accidents? Would that be a car problem? Anyway. The number is a lot higher.

Are we miscommunicating? Cuz I'm *pretty* sure we are the same side on this issue.

No we are agreeing. I think. The so-called handgun problem is political made to look social. Violent death by car accidents cannot be politicized so easily by making it a social problem. Too much causal variance. Can't make political hay.

A violent person uses anything convenient including knives and cars and guns and bats and bricks.

Okay. We do agree. It was just starting *feel* like we didn't *know* we were on same page. :-) Politically more advantageous to make guns focus because only guns are Constitutionally protected. No reason to focus on other weapons/tools of murders.

Right.Political "protection" = political "control" and subsequent gradual manipulation of guaranteed rights. Until the guarantee is expired.

Unless until public begins to demand change in Constitutional change it stands inviolate. So. Break that down in whatever ways one can with whatever opportunities available to bolster case, build on irrational fears RE unpredictable events. Ppl bend.

I agree that persons convicted of violent crimes should lose their 2nd amendment rights, and that there's too many bad guys with guns. The best resolution is to put more guns into the hands Of good people and train them to use the guns.

That might work?

Agree, yet the focus of nearly every anti-gun proponent is against law abiding citizens.

And almost complete disregard for need to revamp mental health system to detect & help mentally unstable &/or secure them from public access.

Which, based on core facts, a far greater problem than access to guns.
