In your youth, did any of your (also young) friends die?
No, at least not yet, and I hope it stays that way. I love all my friends, and I can't stand the thought of something bad happening to any one of them.
One death by drowning. I went to a super small school so not many incidents at all. One classmate committed suicide long after school days. Effect of drugs. Another friend died on Mt. Aconcagua last year. All were very sad. 25th reunion coming up.
Kind of. Multiple people died at my high school. Our high school was such a great community.
Yes when I was five one of my friends played with matches. The results were tragic.
Then there was this thing called the Vietnam War. I graduated 1968.
One was raped and brutally murdered, a few accidents and one suicide. I also had a college friend who went hiking alone and broke his ankle bouldering and died.
Knock on wood, no. But there was a boy in my grade who passed away a couple years ago of leukemia, and another girl from my elementary school of a brain tumor.
3 suicies in high school. Awful.
Yes. Suicides, accidents, drug overdoses, alcohol related deaths and terminal illnesses.
We had a few people that died and most were car accidents. One of them was a guy I almost went to prom with and that was the hardest for me but all were very sad.
In high school yeah a couple people.
Traffic accidents, drowning, and cancer.
There was a girl I went to school with who had CP (I think) that died. We weren't close though.
My middle and high school PE teacher managed to kill himself by driving drunk. Then the school, instead of using it as a teaching moment, tried to cover up the fact that the accident was caused by alcohol.
2 people who went to my high school have now passed during my few years at it. Really makes you think about things.
I think that other poll might've closed, but like I said, I'm really sorry, I know it's difficult, and if you need absolutely anything just let me know.
I'll be fine, but thanks. The first one was much worse for me. You're too nice
Aww :) really though. I hope you never have to deal with this again. Two times is two too many.
