Did Adam have a belly button?

I believe he did. Even though he wasn't born of a mother, I believe God created Adam just as his generation of children will be like.

Belly buttons aren't simply birth scars. They're a genetically set feature that just happens to become vestigial after birth. So according to the story Adam should have had one considering all other humans descended from him have them.

I have to agree. Adam would have had no reason to have had a belly button. Do you suppose it was a family novelty? "Grandpa! Show us your belly!" "Look! He doesn't have a navel!" :)

That's what I'm thinking too. He wasn't born... No need of an umbilical cord = no belly button.
