What is your general opinion of Ted Cruz?
Negative. His own hometown newspaper even said they regretted endorsing him.
He hangs out with Caribou Barbie...'nuf said.
Opportunist, just like the rest of them.
The man who stood for over 21 hours against one of the most unconstitutional things this country has ever done, positive!
His filibuster wasn't a filibuster, but a scheduled speech. He scheduled it with Reed. The bill he claimed to be against wasn't actually going to be up for vote until after he was done, as per the schedule. He stood up for himself alone. Grow up.
1.) I know it wasn't a filibuster, and I'm still glad he did it.
2.) He didn't stand alone at all, he was supported and helped by Mike Lee, Rand Paul, and Marco Rubio.
Man is my hero!
My My we are defensive
Not even a little bit.
Sorry wrong place cheers for your hero
It was positive. But after this shut down and the results I will not be voting for anyone that has a seat in office right now.
Still doing it
Negative he's a partisan punk. He needs to start putting the future of the party ahead of his own 2016 ambitions.
Skinner, wouldn't putting the party first be what makes one a "partisan punk?"
I admit I phrased it poorly. I meant he is too far to the right that he isn't acting in a reasonable manner. I feel he is using this as a publicity stunt for himself. This plan is hurting the GOP and helping him and thus he is a parasite
He may very well just be trying to add to his publicity. But aside from that, shouldn't he care more about the people he represents than a political party?
And the rest are sincere good guys doing the best they can ?!
He's not doing anything positive for the people of Texas. Obamacare has not been repealed and it will not be in the near future.
Massachusetts Republican is an oxymoron
No it's not. Just because we aren't successful and we are moderate doesn't mean we are not Republicans
My My we are defensive did that come a little close to home
Okay. I don't see your point
A politician is a politician is a politician. Sometimes they do or say things I agree with, sometimes they don't, but in the end it's all for show. I like the things Ted Cruz has said/done recently, but he said/did them so ppl like me would like them
... I'm not a "politico-hater" in the least, but there are just certain traits that almost all politicians share that makes them successful in getting elected. The need and desire for positive publicity is one of them.
It's good to have a voice on all sides, including those hurt by Obamacare. This is how democracy works.
And I bet he won't flip flop next year and be for it after he was against it.
ie patriot act etc
I have a negative view of all politicians right now.
That's usually a good rule of thumb at the federal government.
Canadian, so...negative. He has no place in Congress.
That's our problem. All thim dang farners in tha guv'mint!
Well... Them dang farmland owners! And a Canuck ta boot! And that's aboot all I have ta say.
Showboating comes to mind. His filibuster that wasn't a filibuster, but a scheduled speech. He scheduled it with Reed. The bill he claimed to be against wasn't actually going to be up for vote until after he was done, as per the schedule.
That's kinda what I see, too. He makes great, articulate speeches saying all the right things. But he hasn't really obstructed anything or even tried all that hard.
He did that to bring attention to the giant azz-ramming the ppl were abt to get
I don't know if he's completely trustworthy, but he hasn't shown any signs of being "un"trustworthy. He doesn't seen to be a member of the crowd in D.C. from what I've heard.
I'm pretty cynical about politicians, so the jury's still out.
