A mother of three is being accused of "fat-shaming" because of a picture that she posted. What do you think?

That's not fat-shaming at all. It's motivation!

I think she looks great. If that picture makes you ashamed, you've got bigger problems than can be dealt with on FB or SOH. I'd suggest you go to the fridge and get a snack so you can cope!

I think it should be considered motivational.

I'm just not really sure how that's "shaming" anyone. She worked really hard to accomplish something, and now she wants to use her experience to inspire others.

Even worse than sitting next to a smoker at a restaurant, sitting next to a fat pig shoveling slop in their face. Makes me sick to my stomach.

WOW! That lady is gorgeous with a stunning physique!! She should be doing advertisements for getting in shape, not criticized!

I wouldn't apologize for something I worked hard for.

It's a way of phrasing the act of calling out folks on their laziness that attempts to shift blame from the lazy one, to the one calling them out on their laziness. PC BS.

Pinky- laziness or being overweight?

@pinky I hear you. I've been called a "bully" for calling lazy people out. How did this happen?

@EB, trying make someone feel bad for speaking the truth is PC BS.

Cowboy - you used to bully me. You told me I had mental illness, remember?

Societal norms are part of community. Its how humans learn and interact. We've just let poor health habits creep into acceptance (along with poor dress and grooming).

I'll get slaughtered for saying this, but I really don't see a problem with fat shaming. Some people need a stern wake-up-call to get healthy. You don't tell a heroin addict that it's okay to be the way they are - you tell them they made . . .

. . . a horrible choice and they need help. And yes, they should feel ashamed in a way that motivates them to get better.

I must live in a cave. I've never heard of "fat shaming". I found the photo to be a little motivating, and that's all. People are getting too soft and butt-hurt over way too much.

I agree. Never heard of it. But unless the weight is due to an un-fixable health problem, a little fat-shaming could be good in my book.
