Is your most prized possession an object or a memory?
New rescue dog
A few years back my mom and I wanted to go sledding but there was very little snow and my dad told us for days that we couldn't do it. One morning he tells us to get dressed and come outside. He had rigged up his ATV with a sled behind it and he pulled us all over the pasture.
Whenever he would stop, the dogs that were running behind us would run smack into us and we'd end up in one hilarious mess. We laughed SO hard and I ended up with cow manure on my nose. It's my favorite family memory.
My husband :)
The Eagle, Globe, and Anchor I earned at the top of the Grim Reaper at Camp Pendleton, CA
Mentally, it's my memories of friends. Physically, it's tied between an old lamb my aunt have me and a cell phone charm my friend made me for my birthday
I'm somewhat of a reverse-hoarder, so definitely mental. I can't stand having emotional ties to physical objects that don't provide any regular use other than "preserving" a memory. If anything they degrade memories for me.
Nice, I like that. I try to keep my physical belongings to a minimum, so I can relate.
Well, friends and family are physical, so..
True, but your feelings toward them are mental :)
My mom always told me that the best thing you can spend your money on is good memories :)
