Virtual Congress Vote. This bill is brought to the floor by Congressman MJSeals (R) of New York. The bill is available to be read in the comments section of this poll.
For those who do not support due to funding. The amount of jobs this will create is worth it. We will be able to get donations from the private sector to build this. And the scamming machines are ones already in place in airports
Thank you Political, also the money for the boarder will in the end pay for itself due to the less money needed for crimes investigations, immigration trials, and the countless humans murdered by these cartells
To clarify, is the bill predicated on an assumption of a certain amount in private donations? Should it perhaps be amended to include a provision that it only becomes operational upon receipt of donations in X amount?
Beth there are certain people (some billionaire in Las Vegas plus more) who are will to donate, also any federal spending would go right to the cremation of a job
I'm asking if private funding is intended to be a prerequisite for the bill. If so, I believe that should be made explicit. If not, we assume its eventuality at our budgetary peril.
We already spend more on the border than other federal enforcement agencies. That's why I didn't support that gang of 8 bill. Adding to that is just wasteful spending going towards restricting people rather than feeding people.
The border is about 2,000 miles. There are about 1 million people crossing per day. It's impossible to enforce. Forget it. It would cost a huge amount of money which could be used better other places.
All bags and personal items can be search for any hidden drugs as well as a person can be scanned to see if they have a drug balloon (idk the correct terms) inside them IF SUSPICIOUS
What does "scanned" mean? Backscatter scan (won't catch drugs hidden internally)? Full-on CAT scan? Internal cavity search? How much discretion will officers have to determine if someone is suspicious, and what level of review will apply?
As secretary of homeland security I need to do something about the drugs coming from Mexico. These drug dealers are nothing short of terrorists in Southern Texas
Wait -- is the bill to erect a fence and assemble a security force, or is it an advisory panel to supervise it? If the latter, what incentive will a private entity have to undertake this without payment from the government?
A solution to immigration and drug trafficking,
1.) The creation of a secured boarder between USA and Mexico
2.) Every current customs with double as an immigration center
3.) All belonging are eligible to be searched for drugs
