As an older person I think the the left has gone so far left that a democrat of 30 or 40 years ago would be a Republican today. And the republicans of that period would be Tea Party members today.
Since there is no "tea party" you have to expect that within a general and ungoverned movement there will be countless understandings of what exactly this means. It's not like there's a party platform, membership records, etc.
It think it's mostly a conservative that's focused particularly on the fiscal stability of government and that doesn't really care about social issues.
Fiscal conservative (Taxed Enough Already) supports Constitutional Republic as codified in Constitution & liberty as defended in Declaration of Independence. American citizens from every background & political party fed up w/tyranny, corruption, etc.
Does *not* - necessarily - include social conservatives that promote social issues *above* those of fiscal responsibility. TEA Party has been hijacked - to some extent - & derailed "mad as hell not gonna take it anymore" energy of fiscal issues.
Tea Party Conservative holds *some* values/principles/etc of Republican Party but tend to be antagonistic to recent crop of "Republicans" who do not perform duties in compliance w/Republican values/principles & functionally little different than Ds.
So all liberals are on welfare. I am going to have to disagree with that I bet most aren't party affiliated as those peeps are mainly poorly educated....
I would consider myself a 'Tea Party' supporter. I'm not in a trailer, not a redneck, and educated. Troll, you must like being fed under the bridge, because that's where you can go with your insults and double standards.
Extremists of the right who are sick and tired of the republican party failing them by not sticking to what they promised to the people. They want smaller government, and to reduce spending.
