Any Vegans out there?
With what I've heard about Forks Over Knives (will watch when I can), the western diet causes pretty much all heart, cholesterol, blood pressure, etc issues, so I may try something vegan ish, but I'll still eat meat and such, just not solely
Though the only animal products I eat daily are the ham on my lunch sandwich, milk at supper, and a serving of a meat for dinner
I eat a TON of apples and fiber cereal
I was just reading about that movie tonight. Have you heard of Get Vegucated?
Nothing about it yet
I just heard about a lot of this recently, and didn't pay as much attention earlier because of how healthy we already eat
Let me throw down a quick observation. Vegan diet can be very delish, however best to try at a Vegan restaurant or w an experienced cook.
Is it fair to vote yes but not be a vegan?
Yes, as long as you have some good vegetarian recipes. :)
My ex is a vegetarian, between her and my mother there were some good recipes.
USA- are you already vegetarian? Of not, of say try that first to see how well you do.
Just considering it. :)
We watched the documentary Get Vegucated. It was eye opening. Then coincidentally, my dad sent me the book Eat to Live.
Are you EB?
No, I'm not but my son went vegan a year ago. I feel bad when he comes over because the only vegan food I ever have for him are vegan TV dinners :-)
I've even given up buying him gifts because there are materials (leather, etc) he won't use.
I've learned going vegan is a real commitment.
Yes, it seems hard and time consuming. That's why I was wondering if others were successful with it.
I am one and I feel much healthier than I did before. I live with a great cook though. Everything he naked tastes delicious as long as there are no mushrooms.
How do you eat enough? I can't figure that part out. Seems like a lot of beans :/
Sigmund Freud would perk up.
What does a vegan eat? Do you wear leather? Can you eat eggs? I would feel so deprived.
No, vegans don't do any of that. Seems a little extreme. I could live on eggs.
Actually, there is a huge variety. I love beans so I eat a lot if them. There is Vegan pizza, salads, vegetable stews, vegan cheesecake, vegan hot dogs, and many many more choices. I eat plenty of great food. Sometimes too much. :)
No butter either, or cheese.
No butter or cheese.
What is vegan cheesecake. Why eat a fake cheesecake at all?
It tastes like real cheesecake and if you have a sweet tooth, it's a great desert.
Tiera what is it made of. Whats inside a vegan hot dog.
A vegan hot dog is soy meat made into a hit dog shape. I don't know exactly what is in Vegan cheesecake, I just know it is vegan and very tasty.
Just reading this question makes me want to grill bacon wrapped bacon stuffed pork chops :D
Ohhhh my gosh, yumm!! Those are SO delicious ❤
Hush. Until u try.
I would starve if I was vegan.
I am not one, but I voted yes because certainly there is someone...
Lategreat are you vegan?
No, but I have been reading Eat to Live and struggling with the idea of it.
It sounds like it would be difficult for me.
Sorry, but I would not be able to give up milk or cheese!
Or meat, for that matter. I love fish and chicken.
Easier than u think. It is a high energy diet.
I love meat..... Yum!!
I'm like half vegan.
Like...vegan for lunch and breakfast.
That's what I am trying rlands! But still with eggs for bfast, so more 1/2 vegetarian.
I believe in PETA (people eating tasty animals)
Yup. I'm almost the opposite of a vegan. Sometimes, when I order meat, I also mention to hold the veggies/sides. And I like the KFC double down, replace bread with meat. Am not on Atkins or so however.
Where have you been!
Me? Just lurking. Lol.
I am not a big fan of meat, chicken or fish or even vegetables for that matter lol but Im no vegan.
What about chicken cookies?
Always yes to cookies!
Shared a t/ bone with my best friend tonight
Does Vega have habitable planets ;)
Abstinence from any type of animal consumption should be considered self mutilation.
