Ted Cruz spoke at an anti-Obama rally laden with hate speech, with Confederate flags flying in the background. Do you find it ridiculous that a sitting senator would do something like this?

It's funny that picture was taken 10/8/13 prior to the controversy.

I'd like to see a second photo showing flags behind him. Those flags look so photoshopped that it almost looks like a cartoon...

Why is Cruz scared of this publicity? If he a fearless leader and he embraces a party that does fly the confederate flag, why is too pussy to admit it?

There are nut-heads in both parties. Think about the wall street protesters. The Republican Party much rather have the American flag at rallies.

While I don't deny democrats have loons I will say the Democrats flushed occupy Wall Street down the toilet quick while the GOP gave tea party the keys to the car.

That is because in 2010 it was well-organized and the Republicans picked up some senate seats.

The old Solid South. You know the one that was solidly Democrat for centuries

Skinner, you are aware that Democrats and Republicans have switched places ideologically since the time of the solid south, right?

No that is a myth. The Republicans did used to be socially moderate but the fiscal views have not changed in ideological scale since the GOP was founded.

What does labels have anything to do with racism? The south is the south whether they are called democrats, republicans or tea party.

Yeah, socially moderate and fiscally conservative. That's why Abraham Lincoln was a radical social liberal with socialistic tendencies.

Socialistic tendencies? If anything he was a corporatist.

Meh that's weak evidence. Even if that's what he meant it's still weak. Actions not words are what matters.

He's part of the problem. Difference of opinion is fine, but that is hate and ignorance.

The anti Muslim rhetoric. Typical Tea Party rally. I can't wait for Cruz to run for president so he can be publicly humiliated on a bigger scale every day.

Venom. That's what's running through his veins at least. He's a hateful person who obviously has a very low self esteem. I can't think of another reason someone would act like such an ass.
