As a young adult, did you ever spend irresponsibly with a credit card until you "figured it out"?

No. I was allowed to use my parents' credit card for specific shopping trips but never misused it. As a young adult on my own, I didn't have one. When I did have one a little later, I used it sparingly, mostly purchasing with cash.

I did run up some debt when I was in graduate school, but I wasn't young then (44-51), & I paid it off well within a year afterward.

Not as bad as some, thank heavens, but for a while I did carry a balance of about $1,200

Oh my, yes. Regrets, regrets. All behind me now, but it's not something I'm proud of in the least.
