Yes, although I'd have compared it to a really oddly structured short story. No rhyme and flow, not poetry in my book.

I like the comparison. It's like saying it's too easy, no structure/boundaries. :)

I don't think he's necessarily saying it is worthless... Just that it's far easier, to the point of being pointless (to write).

Heh... I don't think so. Maybe that's just me. I appreciate all forms of poetry, and I write some of my own.

I prefer poetry with rhythm at least... I like metered poetry much better than free-verse. And it love Frost.
Overall I agree. Having to have rhythm and rhyme and still say something meaningful is much more difficult, IMO, than writing free verse.
