Has anything like HR 368, rule XXII been done before?
Fairly sure something similar has been done many times before, but not in a functioning democracy.
you mean other countries or when the government has been shut down before?
I was being a bit snarky. I don't think it's been done in the US before. It's the type of thing that signals a pure power grab. If permitted on an ongoing basis IMO it signals a breakdown of democracy.
A no vote is also I don't know
Oh, good; thanks for clarifying that. Because I have no idea.
I did not think about it until I hit summit and went oh shoot I did not give anyone who had no idea (myself included) a way to "watch".
I'm hoping someone knows. I think I kind of remember something like this before but I can't remember nor can I find any mention of something of the sort.
It wouldn't surprise me to know that there's been a similar kind of thing done before -- they seem to pass some pretty odd stuff. But it seems like this might come back to bite them in the butt in the future, unless it's confined to just this
shutdown - I really don't know. I've heard about it, & I've see a pretty exasperating video, but haven't seen the whole text (probably don't have the patience to read & digest it all, either).
I did try to read the text but it did not seem like the whole text
