I spent my entire childhood with the same exact phones every year for 18 years. We survived. They were made well.

I break my phone all too often.... (the screen) at least then I'd be able to replace this one by now

First you have to see the graffiti before judging, Most Graffiti is just a tag left by gang members but Graffiti that is an actual artwork could be art and not vandalism.

Wrong question. This is about free cell phones vs free service.

A new phone is >$600. I currently only pay $85 a month for unlimited everything. A new phone every 6 months would be more valuable to me.

To the 91% that picked service you can get close to that if republic wireless is in your area. I think they are newer but you only pay 19/month for unlimited everything. You get an android smart phone as well. You pay 100 for the phone.

They are even getting the MotoX in the fall. My friend switched and the service is great. He convinced our coworkers to switch as well when their contracts are done.

I'm talking about cheap service to be helpful. Not the math. In today's world that's the closest to free for unlimited everything.

No data coverage for my area. Any cheap service that uses AT&T's network?

I spend $93 a month on 450 minutes and my old grandfathered in unlimited data plan. In less than 6 month, I can save enough to purchase a smart phone out right.

What some companies are charging for rates, texting, data, etc is ridiculous, irresponsible and greedy. A fair pricing must be in place if cell service is to remain a viable resource.

Service is more expensive, and I don't need a new phone every 6 months.

Yeah, people did. Current smartphone technology can rip through an entire data plan's worth of data in hours.

Its like having a Ferrari you can only drive 1 day per month.

I'd take the cell service, but not just because the charge per year is greater. Nobody needs a new cell phone every six months; that's a waste of resources.

Phones are cheap. Service is the opposite of cheap, and then multiplied by some crazy number. Not to mention, I don't need a new phone every six months, but I do "need" service every day.

If you have an iPhone and use iCloud, it'll automatically re-download all your apps, including saved game progress. It'll even do all your contacts and put things in the correct folders for you. All you need to do is enter your name and password.
