Newark, New Jersey mayor Cory Booker apparently doesn't live in Newark. Some folks believe that he doesn't even live in New Jersey. Should a politician be required to live in the area that they run for political office in?
The New Jersey conservatives knew Booker was very popular and very liberal AND that NJ is a moderate (read not ultra conservative) state. If they wanted to win why did they run such an ultra conservative against him?
Oregon said no because I don't necessarily want to live in the ghetto just because I'm representing it. Also, maybe I can't afford to live in Beverly Hills, it shouldn't stop me from representing it.
Yes, how else can you truly represent the people that elect you. I've never been to NJ so how could I have any clue what they need were I to be elected.
Sadly he will beat Steve Lanigan on Wednesday because like NY thats how jersey is. It does not bring me any comfort knowing this. Bad enough we cant get rid of dirty I like them young Menendez
He does like the hollywood crowd and spends most of his time on twitter while the bodies pile up un Newark which for those that do not know is not a neighborhood you want to get lost in.
You don't sound wisconish. You sound east coaster. Sad thing is those states you mention are mostly beautiful. I live about an eighth of a mile from two parks and a mile away from 3 orchards.
Oh, no doubt, I'm sure they're lovely.
But I have zero interest in supporting the economy of any state that seeks to limit my Constitutional rights. Specifically my Second Amendment rights.
I disagree. Should I be able to be the mayor of Orlando while living in Wisconsin? Of course not! I don't have the first clue about what's good for Orlando, and I won't unless I live there.
