Inspired by Rebelfury: Do you tip regularly?
Always, at least 20% dining in. Usually $5 @ fav chinese carry out but I get annoyed @ having to tip restaurant curb side. Don't know why that bugs me so much but it does. So..like McD's you did your job & stuck it in a bag ;( I'm happy to come inside and pick it up, not allowed.
Always. Usually 15%-20%.
20% min for me unless it's terrible service, a smoothie place, or cold stone. They usually get 10-15%
Put me in that camp, too. Even when it's really bad service, I can never bring myself to actually write in a bad tip when the time comes.
Yeah, I do. If I feel they are deserving of it.
Always. If the service is really bad then I'll just tip a few pennies to send the message. If the service is average I'll tip about 15%. For exceptional service I'll tip 20-25%.
Nope! I only tip for exceptional work. But then again the waiters here are paid minimum wage. If they were only getting paid like $3 because they were expected to get tips like how it works in some other states then I would probably tip every time.
Yes. Always no less than 20%, unless the service wasn't good -- but even then I would still give around 15%. I've never done it, but I imagine waiting tables at a restaurant isn't a great job. They deserve more than they get.
Yes in restaurants, furniture deliveries, hairdresser, hotel staff - lots of places.
I tip 20 to 25% regularly
You're very generous.
I usually go 15%.
