Do you have cable or satellite TV in your home?
What surprises me is that 19% don't have it.
Nope. I hate commercials.
DirecTV's new while-home DVR system, "Genie". It SUCKS!!!! Reboots multiple times a week, forgets to record, loses shows, freezes up daily... They should be embarrassed! And should be class-action sued for breach of contract. I pay, they no play.
I have AT&T Uverse. It rocks!
I have both
DirecTv...for the NFL Sunday Ticket.
I've missed two weeks because of the Genie system crashing. Customer service response: "we're sorry." so F-ing what! I want a refund! Suppose I was having a big viewing party. Suck! As they say in Seinfeld: "stuff your sorries in a sack, mister!"
I had a few issues years ago when I first switched. Been great ever since. I don't have the Genie though... Good luck
When will Guam vote?
Not a yes or no question?
No service and don't miss it.
It's also the best way to cut short those annoying telemarketer calls.
No one can beat FREE!
Dish and pay way to much to watch nothing ugh
Only for football season
U verse. Good when it works. Just like the others. Thought if att had all that experience with phones it was a no brainer. They are.....no brainers.
Never had and never will. It's a waste of money. Anything I want to watch I can watch over the air or stream online for free.
Cut the cord 6 months ago. It was a great decision.
Time warner, I enjoy the 55 Meg Internet
My husband works for time warner!
my dad has DirecTv and I made him get NFL ticket so I can watch my Niners game. I wish I could get Central Ice but I don't want to press my luck. He's a Depression born baby and I think he's used to pinching pennies. even though, being a retired Mechanical Engineer @ GM he doesn't have to.
Switched from xfinity to at&t yesterday.
We've dropped all but the basic lineup mostly so, we could keep the DVR. If we could afford to buy our own, we'd drop the lineup & buy an antenna in a second.
We turned it off a year ago and have loved it! We watch all the same stuff but on our schedule, not the broadcasters. Between hulu, netflix and amazon we pay less than half and have more options!
I get all my entertainment from netflix, youtube and games
I had verizon for 2 years but cancelled when my contract ended. I've been without cable or "Internet" since July. I still have my iphone, and Netflix/redbox. Still haven't joined the gym like I fake-planned to do.
Only the basic networks so I don't have to get an antenna or digital box for my old tv's.
Antenna for local and Netflix for everything else
we cut the cord and use netflix and Hulu, never been happier to save $70
All Internet. I stream over big screens.
Kind of. We have uverse.
We haven't had cable in over 6 years. With netflix, hulu, amazon, and our roku, I don't miss it in the least.
Just ditched cable and got Aereo instead.
Haven't had cable over a year. Recently got DISH satellite. Will be able to see new Dr Who this year!
I'd prefer, however, to have Internet service so we could use Netflix instead. We found we preferred it to cable & wouldn't have gotten DISH if we had unlimited Internet for streaming.
Ditched cable over a year ago and never looked back. Best budget decision we've made in awhile. We have Apple TV. We buy a few shows and movies, but mostly watch Netflix.
Unfortunately, who doesn't nowadays...
I don't. Never have had cable/Dish etc. would rather read, or see what I do want to see on internet.
Would you rather live your own life or watch somebody else's?
I don't hate tv that much. But it's just something I say to I remind myself not to get too sucked in.
Exactly. YOLO. Make the most of it. I cannot think of a better definition of not making the most of it than the average US tv consumption rates.
We have an antenna and Apple TV, on which we watch Netflix, Hulu, etc.
Nope. Couple years now. Saved mad cash.
Cut the cord earlier this year. Just have Internet and Netflix, amazon prime. Save lots of $$.
don't watch much television...it's the opiate for the masses
That quote came out before the internet. I think Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, etc. Are much more likely to suck up your time with no return on your investment.
Yep. But no need really. We have the internet.
The local affiliates leak thru the cable modem hookup. I wouldn't pay for "cable" and rarely watch what is free to me anyway.
DVDs of full seasons and netflix.
Not worth the price tag. Pirate bay for me.
Cable. We used to have satellite but the trees grew across the azimuth (just love that word) .
Comcast cable primarily for the high speed internet. The TV is just a bonus. I like it, but Comcast isn't really great when it comes to price, reliability, or customer service. The internet is fairly fast though, so it's worth it overall.
We got a free upgrade to 55mb Internet from Comcast a few months ago
Yeah I run a consistent 60 down, 12 up. It's pretty nice.
The one drawback of getting ticked off at Comcast... Frontier seems sooooo slow, compared to Comcast!
No point in having cable when everything is on the Internet. And besides, there's hundreds of things to do rather than sit on your ass watching reality tv
Comcast, internet, landline, TV
Cable will become obsolete in 10 years thanks to Netflix, online streaming, and gaming platforms streaming television.
