Inspired by SoH poll: have you ever experienced what might have been a paranormal event (seen a ghost, heard a voice, objects move on their own, etc.)?
I saw my father at the foot of my bed as a child about a year after he died. Maybe a dream? It didn't seem like a dream...
Yes. But it's debatable. Whatever it was, prayer and reading the Bible allowed me to sleep at least.
Yes, but I wouldn't genuinely consider it a paranormal event -- there is probably just some explanation for it that I wasn't aware of.
Yes, that's the kind of event that I would count as a yes vote. It doesn't mean you believe in ghosts- just something happened that isn't so easy to explain away.
I was using a Ouija board once in the middle of the night (lol) and the kitchen trash can just violently fell over on its side. No one was around, no draft, it wasn't off balance. I can't make sense of it but it happened.
A guy I used to work with was renting a house. They had a big dog. For several months, they would get home and he would be outside. Everything was closed/locked as they left them. After talking with neighbors. Someone said the lady who had the house
built was a pain in the ass. According to them the builder told the lady that she would be the death of him. He died a couple days after finishing he house.
He moved shortly after that. I've never been a believer but his story was interesting.
The number of people who have said yes so far is surprisingly low to me given that about 50% of SoH users believe in ghost. Hmm...
Different audience most likely.
You're probably right, but I'm now wondering how many people believe in ghosts but never experienced a paranormal event first hand.
I heard a little girl say "daddy?". The only other person in the house was with me & heard the same thing. It could've been a cat but I never heard a cat say daddy. I don't believe in ghosts but I still wonder about that day.
If it's any consolation, I've heard random word strings at random times in random places since I was 5. I believe in my case it's just my brain being weird, but whatever.
Ya, but I could be crazy.
Everytime this happens to me i think i am too
Have you experienced a lot of things gill?
True it's more likely for me than you.
Early just a few. How about you?
Ha idk! A lot of things have happened before. I just always brush it off and tell myself im crazy.
No, I've never experienced anything odd or scary. I wish I would so I could know what it's like. I think if I experienced it, it would help me believe in it.
Eh I just say I'm psychic and what I'm seeing or hearing is real.
Early if you do you might think you're crazy like us.
Gill - haha! I know I'm crazy! I just wish I was your kind of crazy :-)
Gill, if you were truly crazy, you would be denying that you were crazy :)
Yeah. Im pretty sure its just me being a bit crazy
You aren't crazy lol, it happens to lots of people
What do you think?
Well I've had some pretty weird experiences and so have my friends so idk. If something can be haunted, my bathroom is definitely haunted then lol
I think that my whole house is. Not necessarily haunted but has spirits lol
That's pretty cool, have you seen them or anything? My bathroom is just creepy and it gives you an eery feeling. You can get cold chills in there on a 100 degree day lol
No. If i start seeing spirits i will defiantly check into a hospital
Is it just a feeling you have then and that probably isn't a bad idea as long as you weren't just tired or something lol. My mind plays tricks on me when I'm REALLY tired, one time I couldve swore my dog deliberately winked at me when I went to
Work at my summer job at 5 AM and went to my friends house and got home at 2 AM the next night lol. I thought I was nuts
Sometimes in my room i will feel a gust of wind, almost like someone just walked past me. Even though the doors are shut, ceiling fan is off, and windows are shut.
Oh, don't mind that, that's just me walking around lol Jk
truelove, maybe check your insulation :) Next time you feel a gust a wind, stick your leg out or shove the spirit. If you hear a loud thud as it hits the ground, check out:)
