Pancreatic cancer kills many times the amount of people every year that breast cancer does. Why does breast cancer get more attention? Because no one cares how perky your pancreas is... ;P
I didn't know either. See... that ticks me off. It shouldn't get so much less attention, that's for sure. I hate "causes" that are considered more worthy because so and so mentioned them or runs a charity related to it.
As part of my ongoing effort to see as many sets as are presented for review as time in the day allows, yes, but nothing different this day from any other.
I'm wearing a bra, which I'll take as a plus. On the con side, I'm not doing research related to breast cancer any more. Nor am I celebrating with a mammogram, since I just had one a couple months ago. And without an income, I'm not contributing
to much of any cause on a regular basis. Nor do I plan to buy anything pink (not a color I like much anyway, or I might). What else can I do? Walk around encouraging women - and men! - to do self exams, or get mammograms?
