Can one have morals without being religious?
Will the one Republican from South Carolina and one from Connecticut please explain why you answered no?
some of the countries with the lowest crime rate and highest standard of living have some of the highest secularism rates. so the people that said "no" are flat out wrong. stats don't lie.
You don't need religion to have morals.
It's called moral relativism.
I'd have asked the question the other way 'round, can one be religious without having morals, but the answer is yes either way. Religious dogma may be an attempt to impose a certain morality, but morality exists and does just fine without it.
Religion spawned from morals, not the other way around.
Of course and often times atheists are more moral that some people who just think they are religious
Morals are in no way tied to religion. Any religion. Morals are objective truths. Thus anyone can be moral regardless of religious affliction.
Yes, morals did not spawn from religion. I believe many religious people feel they do so they can view themselves higher than those who are not religious.
Of course. I really have to wonder about the thinking of people who insist that atheists don't have morals.
I do to.
You have some of the strongest morals one could imagine :)
You do mr L that you do
Awe, that's very sweet... <3
I'd like to think I am, in many areas. Thank you...
Obviously, or so I hope.
