Of the two, would you rather have been blind since birth or go blind as a young adult?

Born blind, I suppose. I wouldn't know what I was missing.

It might be true you wouldn't miss as much what you never had, but the years worth of memories would make communicating with others so much easier. Some things like the night sky, the ocean, or colors, defy description to one who has never seen.

I would rather learn how to live normally and then adjust. I would want to know what things look like. However, it would be easier to be blind from birth.

I would hate being born blind and people tell me how beautiful something is, with no earthly idea how to imagine it in my head.

, it's normal. They have known nothing else.

I can't imagine adjusting to live without my eyesight. It would require exponentially more effort from the individual and others in their life.

I would at least like to know what colors are. I could imagine what something looks like then. If someone says "green" I won't have to make up a color

I've been watching the YouTube channel where this guy who has been blind since birth talks about what exactly it is like. It is pretty interesting...

That's great. I started watching, and my husband came in and asked if I was listening to Tommy Edison. Apparently he's already subscribed to the guy!
