Have you ever changed your mind when ordering food at a restaurant after seeing the calorie count of your first choice?
I love the notion of adding calories to the menu. The 450 pound guy may not have known eating yourself to immobility at the home town buffet might make him fat. Hehe, silly
Check out the menu for Hurricane Wings in Tampa, was there on business. Add 20 wings and fries together and you'll crap yourself at how many calories it can add to. Sure, you can have less, but how often do we eat less? And yes, there would be beer, too!
Hardy har har! Unfortunately your expanding waistline is the real punch line to that joke.
Fast food restaurant, yeah. Other restaurants tend not to show calories. When I saw the milk shakes I loved had 700 calories each I decided they weren't worth it.
If I order a piece of cake and a milkshake, I know it's not going to fall under the low fat category.
that's true, but if you eat something extremely high in calories which you aren't burning off, you'll eventually gain weight.
My "healthy" chicken wrap at BWW was 2300 calories...
Haha! I was going to post that too. I told the waiter that they shouldnt post the calories on the menu bc they are so high. I can't bring myself to go back their now.
If I'm eating at a resturant, I'm there to EAT
I don't look at calories, but I have changed my order on the waiter's recommendation.
Portions have gotten just silly in many places. I just see it as tomorrow's lunch for free. I save anything beyond a reasonable portion and take the rest home.
Don't you have enough a lot of food allergies too sweetie
The unbreaded chicken does not have the crunch but that kind of crunch comes from breading a deep-fried that adds a lot of calories!!!
I also did Atkins 245 pounds is what I used weigh. I'm not quite Five foot two. I lost 114 Atkins and going to TOPS. Over the last five years I've put back on 20 so I'm going to start on Atkins. For my buffalo fix I use buffalo wing sauce On unbreaded chicken and on french fries In my acti fri
Bergerville used to print them out I switched from the milkshake to the shake made with yogurt half the calories will still taste good
Join a group or an organization I've made a lot of friends up my health club I go to TOPS take pounds off sensibly I made a lot of friends there I have no idea what you weigh, by the way, Get out and do something sweetheart in you will find friends.
No, because i am responsible and maintain a healthy weight. So when i go out to eat, i eat guilt free.
I'm happy the information is available for me to consider when choosing. More info is better than less. Sometimes it affects my choice, sometimes nott
if they post that stuff, then it's probably too high for my taste. I'm a healthy eater.
No, I haven't. When I'm concerned about the calorie count, & nutrient levels are available, I look before ordering. If not available I can eyeball pretty well. Much of the time it's not a big issue, although I don't want to pig out. I eat VERY healthfully at home with a few indulgences.
I'm not sure McRibs are actually all meat, and then there's the sauce. Oh. Wikipedia says it's pork shoulder meat but may also contain "restructured meat products such as tripe, heart and stomach." Which is weird because tripe IS stomach. And then there's onions, pickle & BBQ sauce.
Am I the only one that try's to predict what the results will be?
I have often talked myself out of going out to eat by looking up calorie counts....
I've noticed that on most polls. I was thinking it might be a glitch.
Thank you. I didn't think that many people have! If it looks good I'm eating it.
No, that's an ordinary meal.
At 6"1 180 lbs with a very active lifestyle I need about 3,500 kcal daily to break even, so at least for me it is - and the pinch of salt? 1,500mg looks big but is just about a good pinch - 1/20 ounce.
Never. I order based on what I'm in the mood for not the calories. Calories are good for you. They are fuel for your body
It's max 100 cal/wing and 500/large fries. You either saw a family platter or it was in joule - divide by 4 for cal.
no wonder i feel like blimp when i leave Wings Ect.
Woah, cheer up buttercup! At least you've got SOH!
No. I live alone. I have nothing and no one in my life to enjoy anything with. Damn it, I'll at least enjoy the foods I like. At least I'll have that if nothing else.
Not normally but at Denny's yes. Grandslamwich has over 1200 calories and 1500mg of sodium that's just ridicules
I don't think the type of restaurants I eat at list calories on the menu...
and u forgot to add the 25oz. brew
r u trying to ruin my fav. meal? :(
nope...i do watch my cal. intake though....i watch all of the calories go right in my mouth ;)
I choose food that's sure to piss off nanny Michelle.
"Meat may contain chicken, cow, horse, pig, moose, elk, deer, or any combination thereof"
I wish I could say yes
You have no idea. But I also have a 20+ year struggle w anorexia & bulimia so I obsess. I also don't often eat at restaurants bc I don't trust ppl to make my food "right".
Are you sure those were just buffalo wings, not a buffalo ;)
Actually yes, check out fish and chips - delicious but 1,000 calories!
Yep! Went out thinking of buffalo wings and fries one night, then saw it would be 3500(!) calories. I couldn't pull the trigger. Of course if the calorie count isn't there I can still do it. See how info helps?
Not only have I not changed up, I have NEVER even looked at calorie or nutritional value information. I don't intend on starting anytime soon. I don't wanna be confused by facts!
I think the people on here from Mississippi just look to see how everyone else is voting and then vote the opposite.
I just read whatever in eating in half. that way the calories fall out.
"Meat" being debatable at McDonalds
I'm one of those girls that's perfectly happy eating a Big Mac instead of a salad. So no, I haven't.
