Have you ever been in a car accident?
LOTS of fender benders. No permanent injuries other than a chipped tooth.
81% + 20% = 101%
In May, the day before my birthday, another driver driving recklessly on a sketchy road lost control and slammed into me causing me to T-bone the car. The other driver died on impact, both cars totaled, I'm still recovering physically and emotionally. Follow the road signs people.
T-boned by a caprice running from the cops, and rear ended by a 90 year old women who tried to leave lol
Oh so sorry!! :(
I put my car in the ditch when I was 16. I lived in Wisconsin at the time and was driving on ice. I thought I saw a bunny and my knee jerk reaction was to hit the brakes. BAD MOVE. We now have a joke in our family to kill the rabbit.
pinky, that's exactly the way my father drove, and I always felt safe with him. Even well into his 80s he was a much better driver than many young people.
Have been a passenger in two minor collisions. Happens, lucky that I and everyone involved were fine
I'm starting to think people in Mississippi are haut fucking with us.
Yes. I survived a head on collision from a drunk driver. The drunk driver walked away, I spent 4 months in the hospital. Needles to say I hate people that drink and drive.
Actually, more males are the vehicle operator at fault than women. I did traffic crash statistics for my job so I know this. Most dangerous holiday in Phoenix? Valentines Day!
If people would learn, and follow the 5 'Smith System' keys, our roadways would be dramatically safer. Probably a 90% percent, or better, decrease in serious injury collisions. 'Aim high in steering', 'Get the big picture', 'Keep your eyes moving', 'Leave yourself an out', 'Make sure they see you.'
Women drivers, no survivors. Lol
A couple. Only one where I was at fault, and since it happened in Mexico: No insurance hike for me! Woot!
Three major accidents in less than three years. None my fault.
A car hit me once, but I was walking so I guess it doesn't count.
Rear ended by a 16 year old driver, she'd only had her license for a few weeks.
Why is Mississippi always the odd one out?
Ive never been in a major one, only minor ones. You know the ones that only damage to car minimally, or not enough to even get close to hurting us in the car. All we've got is a quick jolt.
Always be aware of motorcycles!!! Long story short I got a concussion, 7 stitches, and a broken wrist fixed with a plate and 8 screws because a lady wasn't paying attention.
So was I
Maybe they are more relaxed and have better manners.
I think Mississippi just likes to be obstinate.
Excellent on both counts. Thanks for the update.
It's the law.
And your imagination or poor generalizations. There are bad drivers in every state.
Mjohn is that your observation or enforced by law? Is it my imagination or are drivers more stubborn in PA. No disrespect. They seem to feel justified that they are following the law and block faster drivers. I have driven patiently behind two slow drivers next to each other for miles and miles.
I said no because I haven't... Hopefully I just didn't jinx myself
PA has a three second following distance....
I am surprised that we don't observe a two second following distance. In Maryland it is usually one second or sometimes even less. Then when you head to the country people relax and the following distance increases. We also take time to look ahead and breath.
That is why we require all those safety features in our vehicles. Think about it. With the density increase of all those vehicles we are bound to interact more than once in a blue moon. Also this question asked if ever. The longer you live the more strange things we get to observe.
The amount of blue on the map is truly frightening...
Tony posted that their is an issue with how Mississippi is showing on the map & they are working on it.
I have some arthritis in my back from the drunk driver that hit us, but that's really it. I have been blessed.
Four. Three times car was totaled. Driving once. None at-fault (neither the time I was driving or the times I was the passenger). I'm blessed to never have been seriously injured.
Same here. Nothing bad but i think i screwed up my amp head :(
Witnessed 3 run stop signs, one hit me because of it. Ridiculous.
People just think they're f***ing invincible!
It was POURING, my car is a piece of s h i t, and I couldn't stop in time. TINY scratch, no dents. That count?
Rear ended twice. One was more serious than the other as the firemen couldn't even open my back doors because the car had been smashed like an accordion in the back. Both times hit by drunk drivers. I rarely swear, but f@&$ those a$$holes...
I got rear-ended 12 years ago, and my back has been effed ever since. I've never been in a bad accident though, thank goodness.
Thank God she's okay
I was hit by a car when I was 10.
Four between 2010 and 2012. I admit, I cannot drive!!
Yes, a police officer hit us.
19 and haven't gottin into an accident or a ticket!
Now I've been in one accident when my mom couldn't stop because of ice on the road. Messed up my knee a little
Remember this when mayor Cory Booker runs for US President.
I think Mississippi is playing with us!!! No way they are really that different on every poll... And just recently!!
