I am a current psychology undergrad. I have to decide if my postgrad studies will be clinical psychology or forensic psychology, but I’m leaning more towards forensic psychology. I find the legal field, no matter which ever part of it rather interesting.
Machining, Numerical Control machining, N/C Programming development, introduced 3D CAD/CAM into the manufacturing process, established and supervised a strong Tool Engineering 3D CATIA department.
Great fun and inspiring. π
That's a tough one. Starship captain? Chief of Space Operations? Head of warp drive research? I think a theme is clear though. We'll see where the next few decades take me!
I'd own my own company that would specialize in IoT for noninvasive wearable medical equipment and 3d hands free holographic HUD application software to be used with Microsoft Hololens and other holographic platforms. That would be the beginning of it anyhow. Vitals monitoring would be the start of it, and we would eventually move into more interesting applications. Cyborg stuff. The hive mind. AI. State of the Art Everything liberals, conservatives and luddites hate but will eventually have to use, like cell phones. Any ideas for how to start?
I’m actually about to start an ammunition manufacturing company this summer. About to submit my FFL application. It should be running by fall. That’s my dream job!
I’m just reloading right now, doing some research and seeing what works. Hopefully I’ll get a license and be selling before duck season. I’m making specialty 12 gauge tss loads.
I worked 40 years in Human Resources. Just before I retired, I realized that I kinda hate people... and I was also the only HR person I knew who could actually calculate the “net present value of a dollar”.
Maybe I actually began to hate people after spending so many years in Human Resources.
If you ever publish a book, let me know! I’d love to read all your stories — the best type of book is ripe with them. Wishing you the best in your journey.
In 2007 I was dared to write a book. The first one I wrote I did not finish it was bad but the second I finished and went what do I do? I found an agent they found me a publisher and I now have 13-14 books worldwide in multiple languages. I won awards and all because of a dare. If you wanna write a book, write one. But I would suggest doing an outline. Otherwise people get stuck on the hook or the first three chapters and they rewrite them and rewrite them and rewrite them because it really turns out they don’t have a book. They have an idea. When I get stuck I remember one of my favorite quotes, just write it wrong until you can write it right.
I love that advice—thank you β€οΈThe hardest part about writing for me is to just keep writing. Over the past two years, I’ve planned the first two books in a sci-fi trilogy, but whenever I sit down to write it, I do get caught up in making it perfect on the first go, and I hate myself for it. That’s not how writing works, and I need to keep reminding myself of that.
Interventional cardiologist or oncologist. Hospital administrator. Secretary of State. Corporate attorney. Professor. Architect. Real estate agent. Travel show host. Pharmaceutical researcher. There are too many to count.
I'm a shelver at the library. Unfortunately, it's only part time, but I've only missed an hour in a year which is unheard of for me (medical stuff) and I am able to pay my bills with government assistance, so I'm not complaining. And since I'm at the bottom, I have a chance to move into higher positions, too. My coworkers are amazing, we get lots of snacks, I'm good at what I do, and the few patrons I deal with at times are lovely.
I want to be Vanna White’s replacement when she retires. She gets paid tons of money to wear pretty dresses, walk back and forth , clap and wave her arms. I CAN DO ALL OF THAT.
So how would you deal with all the whiney movie stars who are now demanding social distancing and no touch clauses in all their contracts...movies & TV shows are going to be garbage now.
I don’t know you, but I would like to think with those aspirations you could. Even if you have any disability (I’m not claiming you do, I am just suggesting what to do if so) then you should talk to a university you’re interested in as they cannot discriminate.
I already do it part time. Professional demonstration parachutist (the guys that jump into stadiums and stuff). I have the rating (arguably the hardest to earn in skydiving) and I do it for my local DZ, but it would be awesome to do it for Team Fastrax or the Army Golden Knights.
