The deal breaker for me is the belief that anything is more important than the written words of the constitution, or that they can/should be ignored.

My candidate of choice should be pro choice. You can argue when life begins all you want but I draw the line at if another humans life/well being is at steak. Otherwise forced blood donations and forced organ transplants should be law, even if it is against the host body's will to save another life.

Depends...
Do they believe in the superiority of the white race?
No? Then I can deal with anything else.

Politicians who try to legislate their morals on others. The biggest being religion. Leave your religion out of my life. This leads to less freedom for individuals.

I have two: freedom from religion (I won’t let someone insist I believe in anything) and the right to what happens to my body, to an extent. Antivaxers are dangerous, but abortion (up to a certain point) is up to the woman.

National Voter ID requirements.
There must be....
Verification of Identity (Drivers License), verification of citizenship(like a passport) and verification of residence(no double voting). Yes, we should ask these questions at the polls. Anyone that disagrees wants to cheat and is stupid.

Marijuana legalization is the closest thing I have to a deal breaker, but it's not a practical absolute in 2020 when both sides are essentially leaning in that direction.

I’m in a relationship that started about 8+ months ago. Some differences in ideology, philosophy, values, and beliefs seem to be bigger than I want to work through.

For me it’s really three main issues.
Belief in the welfare state ie socialised healthcare and medicine, good disability benefits, programmes such as food stamps, etc.
A simple foreign policy. No wars unless absolutely necessary.
Separation of church and state. I do not want anyone’s religion, to be the driving force in policy making. Those two should stay as far apart as possible.

Abrupt climate change.
Because it literally touches every aspect of our lives. It’s not because I’m an environmentalist though... I’m a humanist. Venus has a climate too, but we would not thrive there.

2nd amendment rights. Growing up in the south I have been a round guns my entire life and I believe that the 2nd amendment is important especially in a political climate that is trying to take the right to bear arms away.
