I miss him so much! (And his “brother,” and the other 5 and a dog that I housesit for, and the other dog that visits every day...) I got off my schedule of spending some days every month at my daughter’s house, and then the virus thing hit. I haven’t seen any of them since January 1.
They really are a constant source of entertainment and enjoyment.
He watched that one for 18 minutes (I timed it) without losing concentration. First he sat in front of it, then he lay down like that. He didn’t even try to attack the mouse, although he often does. He’s liked watching videos of other animals for ages, and he likes playing some games, too.
His younger “brother” finally got interested, and now they will either sit side by side watching (and taking turns attacking), or one will flop down right in front of the screen and block it from the other one.
What I really love is when they reach a paw *behind* the screen, as if they think it extends back there and they can catch it. I *really* want to know what’s going on in their brains - what they really see. At first I though it was just colors, shapes, and movement. But the first time I showed Elwood a video of other *cats,* he got a completely different look on his face. It was really pretty astounding.
