It’s hard to share a hobby with you without knowing what you’re interested in. If you do social media, I would follow a few people or groups involved with your interests. If it gets you excited, you know you’re there. If not, it’s okay to default to your current favorites. For me, at the moment, it’s desserts. Before, it was second language.

playing a musical instrument but i'm very biased, honestly i think any kind of art form is a great hobby but it's not for everyone, this can be music, art, writing, cooking, singing or anything in between

You could make cheese at home. It’s funny you can get quite a variety. I would imagine you could probably get some Irish milk and milk from other countries too. The quality of the soil makes a difference. Sourdough bread is another thing that’s fun. My climate , Oregon coast, it’s very similar to that of England. Day hikes. If the calories would allow I would like to try out different kinds of chocolate too.

Photography, not phone but real and learn to do it right. You will see things you have never seen before by learning a new way to look at the world and appreciate beauty in places you would never expect

I knitted some chunky blankets for family a few years back that were a hit. Big needles, single stitch, easy to learn on YouTube. If it’s something you are interested in and get into, there are also lots of organizations that do things like hats for cancer patients to keep your hands busy between personal al projects.

I’m another proponent of woodworking. Furniture making is useful and not usually too demanding skill-wise. It’s not too hard to create a piece yourself that is loads better than what you’d find at a local furniture store.
About a year ago I started making stringed musical instruments and am having a blast with that.
