Actually, loosing weight is a completely intrinsic motivation. Unless the weight loss is for a job, or something external, odds are the person is question is working hard to loose weight for their own personal gain, so that they can feel happy and confident in their own bodies. Completely internal.

My motivation is internal because I want more out of life and hard work pays off at the end. So working towards my goal.

Everything has been internal.

That is what drove me to come to the United States. To earn my doctoral degree. To help my wife raise her children.

I feel like most the things I do are motivated by a desire to go through motions and do whatever I need to do in that moment. I don't feel much motivation.

I'm almost entirely self-motivated. I work because I enjoy my jobs. I help others because it makes me feel good.

They're all motivating factors. The ones that motivate me most are internal. They are things I firmly believe will be beneficial to others or to me.
