Do you set aside one day of the week as an actual day of rest? A day when you do the absolute minimum and when you actually relax and possibly think about the more meaningful parts of your life.

No, I’m busy every day. My boy’s school loans aren’t going to pay themselves!!

Nope. I’m in medical school, even on my light days I still study for 6 hours.

Saturday, the actual sabbath (Shabbat), is our day of rest . It just happens to work out that way. The other days are much busier.

This one day of the week where we get to relax makes a big difference. We need a recharge and a time to slow down for one day . It was my pattern growing up. Its something that we need to not lose ourselves in the constant business of everyday life

Kind of yah. Usually one of the 2 weekend days is for chores and one is for rest.

Yes, of course! Although for a pastor and his family, Sunday is a very busy day, it’s also a day of worship, rest, and reflection that renews and recharges us to go out into the world and share the love of Jesus every day of the week.

I also tried to keep Saturdays as a day of rest, relaxation and fun, since Sundays were more busy for us.

Sunday, though that's just a happy coinkidink. It's the day I have off from work that I don't have to sleep halfway through (Saturday) or go to work halfway into (Monday), and I take my time off seriously.

Being retired I rest whenever I feel like it.

No. Although Sunday’s coming forward will be more restful for me since football is over. No more seven day work weeks.
