A girl said I “didn’t seem interested” because she texted me “Hey” and I texted her “Hi” back instead of hey as well. Have you ever analyzed a text that much?
yes I have.
i just dont report it back to people like she did because.... it's a crazy thing to do...
she's crazy man.
That’s crazy! But did overanalyze it enough to make a poll about it on an app to see what strangers think?
You sound perfect for each other.
I don’t understand. I wanted to know if other people had taken a text as seriously as she had. How does that correlate to me doing the same? I think she’s nuts.
I think her Hey...meant for him to respond Hey; what's up ? .....everyone analyzing her by 3 letters is also crazy...
She seems... crazy
Which means you may hear from her again later. Crazy always circles back. Don't hold your breath waiting. Move on to the next girl.
But you may have an interesting opportunity for fun randomly arise.
But... crazy chicks, as wild fun as they may be one night... may be the type who boil your bunnies for weeks after with "why didn't you answer my text????" messages 7000 times a day and lurking outside your house.
No, that’s pretty extreme
Run. If that’s her analysis from two letters......imagine a full sentence of second guessing and mind-fuckery. Run away. Don’t look back. No second chances. Save yourself.
I completely agree.
Open ended question > canned salutation
If she's too young to know, don't hold it against her.
If she ain't in her teens anymore, start looking elsewhere.
🚩red flag alert🚩
"I WAS interested..."
She sounds crazy. Consider yourself lucky she gets to be some other guy’s problem.
She really likes you or she wouldn't analyze your text at all. If you like her back just be happy.
Classic mistake. You always text back hey to hey. If she texted back what’s up or yo you could respond with hi, but not to hey, hello, or what’s cookin sugar?
What’s cracka lackin
You sure it wasn’t because, in her mind, she was inviting you to strike up a conversation and all you said back was “hi”? I mean, maybe she was looking for something more than “hi” to indicate interest?
If she wanted to strike up a conversation, she should say more than just “Hey,” lol.
Personally, I think both “hey” and “hi” are ridiculous. But, professionals are saying that young people don’t know how to talk to one another these days. Apparently, and sadly, social media stifles the ability to learn how to actually socialize and converse.
This sounds like a Seinfeld episode
I think you’re on to something, Coffee. The ridiculousness of this could make for a great sitcom episode indeed.
It’s just weird because I value talking in person much more than a text. The fact that she told her friends I “didn’t seem interested” over one interaction on a phone is worrying.
She’s nuts. If you had responded more “favorably,” she would say you were being overzealous.
No, and I never will.
