How many whistleblowers during the Obama administration were prosecuted under the espionage act?
Actually 8 people we’re Prosecuted during the Obama administration including Chelsea Manning and Snowden. Trump has the same Act and opportunity at his disposal unless people who disclosed information sought whistle blower protection which basically renders them untouchable.
DOUBLE STANDARD !!!
A lot of them, and all of them.
8 or 9, that I know of.....
Ah the rare opportunity to prove I’m not just a democrat loyalist on this issue!
Support All Whistleblowers!

Male, During Obama’s 8yrs, whistleblowers were pursued with a vengeance, now Schiff & his💩Head Dems, are trying to uphold the sacred sanctity & anonymity of their own “hand picked” whistleblowers❓Disgusting😡‼️
Are you saying Obama did the right thing trying to squash whistleblowers or that protecting whistleblowers is vitally important for government accountability?
Obama actually did far worse than Trump is being accused of without any evidence and Democrats were complicit and the media silent.
Pointing out their usual hypocrisy and duplicity
Omni ... was MrO’s harassment and persecution of real whistleblowers an impeachable crime?
Mal, If you believe Obama was worse, then what exactly are you saying?... that because one President got away with an injustice we should allow another one to as well? That makes zero sense!
Think, As far as I know Obama was never impeached. What’s your point?
Omni ... you didn’t address the question! It is a fact that MrO harassed real whistleblowers. It is a fact that MrO was not impeached.
But the question I asked was ... was MrO’s harassment of real whistleblowers a crime?
“The absolute twisted passion with which the administration under Obama’s leadership has pursued whistleblowers is just appalling,” says Norman Solomon, executive director of the Institute for Public Accuracy and co-founder of RootsAction.org. “And as far as I can tell, the administration is unrepentant in that process. There’s just no other administration that comes close.”
“The frequency of Espionage Act cases under Obama has earned him the reputation of waging a “war on whistleblowers.” New York Times reporter James Risen has called Obama “the greatest enemy to press freedom in a generation.” Damning words, indeed.”
“The Obama administration has presided over the most draconian crackdown on national security and intelligence community whistleblowers in US history,” said Jesselyn Radack, a whistleblower herself and a national security attorney, at an event last February in Washington, D.C. to support the imprisoned whistleblower Jeffrey Sterling, a lawyer and former CIA employee. “The Justice Department has used the antiquated Espionage Act as a bludgeon to threaten, intimidate, silence and imprison whistleblowers for allegedly mishandling classified information.”
