Ham instead of Turkey for Thanksgiving?
It's they only time of the year you can buy an affordable Turkey. You can get ham anytime
No way! If you want ham, both.
Both, depending on how many people come.
This year we have about 25, then Friday we will do it over again when the out of state people get here.
Neither. Prime Rib.
We’ve done ham instead of turkey several times because it’s easier.
But what about American tradition?
To me, Thanksgiving is more about what GOD has given us than about American tradition. Sometimes, He has provided ham for us, sometimes, turkey.
I see, good answer! 👍
I don’t like ham except in split pea soup. I don’t love turkey that much either but it’s preferable.
I also smoke a brisket.
We have both. Plus eggplant lasagna and a Philippine chicken and pork dish. And all the sides. I’m hungry now.
It’s impossible to leave my thanksgiving without smelling like an egg roll.
I usually make both
We go to my husband’s aunt’s house. They always have ham and turkey. Hubby loves ham, but isn’t a fan of turkey. I like turkey, but I don’t like ham at all.
This year we are going with Tomahawk steaks and wings.
Ham is easter. Turkey is TDay. But many cultures serve more than one meat. We always had a pork roast, kielbasa.
Doesn’t matter. I’ve had Mexican and Thai for Thanksgiving, as well. No... Not together. It was different years. What do you think I am? A barbarian???
Hey, we have a Mexican/Thai fusion taco shop here in my town. Thai tacos are surprisingly good!
BREAKING NEWS: Many Republicans are expected to be eating Crow this Thanksgiving! 🤣
My ex’s family used to make both. The ham and turkey sandwiches from the leftovers were delicious.
