We went to the Greek Festival today at St Demetrios church. Do you attend any church festivals?
It’s been years
Every year at this time of the year the Journey Mennonite Church, one mile north of Yoder Kansas, has a Thanksgiving dinner open to the general public.
Wonderfully rich country food, great variety and fun elbow rubbing with like minds and hearts.
I was a cook for a number of years and always worked for Greeks. I love the culture and the food.
Anyone suggests Old Tarpon Springs and I’m ready to drive across the State! 😊
It just so happens that Tarpon Springs is where my American roots begin😱
Really!? Love that place.
Yup. My fathers side emigrated there from Kalymnos, Greece. Decedent of sponge divers
Ah - no wonder they went to Tarpon! Just like home - kinda.
Just like home...minus the gators😅
No, but that sounds fun! Love Greek food!
Oh me too!!
And the music and the dancing and the stories they tell in the Children’s area.

I’ve been to Greek and Catholic festivals before years ago.
I love attending Greek festivals. I could live in Greece and be happy for all time.
Did they auction off a huge bottle of Galliano?
Not during the day ... didn’t see any... just ouzo and Greek beer and of course typical American beverages.
I came home with a ton of food. Yum!
