How dare he donate money to veterans! 😂🤣

Sure... that’s what we’ll call his sham foundation.

The Trump Foundation took $0 from outside donations for 20 years and donated all proceeds to charities. That’s more than any other charity I’m aware of can claim.

Pretty sad and telling that no other sitting president has attended the NYC Veteran’s Parade. Trump will be the first! He lives America and it’s veterans.

How is that sad and telling? Every President has attended events on Veteran’s Day. New York wouldn’t be my first choice as POTUS, either.

New York democrats are as low as ever. They want to shut down a charity that has given out $19 million to other charities in order to take down a political opponent.

Ya man Trump using charity money to buy a painting of himself really helped those veterans...

1. Ahead of the 2016 Iowa caucus, candidate Trump held a fundraiser. The fundraiser raised $2.8 million, which was all given to veterans charities.
2. The funds were raised through the Trump Foundation, but campaign staff managed the fundraiser and distributed the funds to charities.
3. Liberals decided that these funds counted as campaign contributions (zero percent of which went to the Trump campaign), and a judge agreed helped “further Mr. Trump’s political campaign.”

100.% of the $2.8 million raised went to the veterans.

So how did Trump buying a painting of himself go to veterans? Or paying court settlements?
And if it wasn't benefiting him politically, why was the Trump campign organizing the fundraisers?

Dude wake up, he admitted to the misuse of the funds

You just don’t like to hear Trump does something good by donating 100% of charitable funds.

The charity that gave Trump the painting was given $10,000 out of the $19 million handed out. Handsy’s spin is as ridiculous as ever. Anyone who actually donates to charities knows they sometimes give small gifts in return.

Our low life president was fined for helping himself and his campaign to money donated for charitable causes.
So, if you follow the money, Trump stole money from charities to pay off porn stars.

For using foundation money to enrich himself and pay off campaign debts (so he at least paid SOMEONE...)

Better? Nothing different. They gave 100% of the charity money to veterans. Liberals are complaining because they gave it directly to veterans at a rally.

The paintings he got were from children’s charities. He donated $10,000 to the Unicorn Children’s charity in exchange for the painting. 🤣😂

Ever been to a charity event where they auction off stuff? You get something in return for your donations.

Based on whether their past reporting was accurate. Everyone makes mistakes but they must do a good job of vetting before posting or at least fess up to errors.

And your Reuter’s article only agrees with what I have been saying 🙄

Ok I read it - to be fair I knew nothing about this. Kscott is not wrong......however the article is fact filled but “fact” from the perspective that there is no direct link to a concern, other than the painting.

I personally don’t know what is self serving of giving over 19 million. I feel like there is more to discovered by this.....

ConservativeD Libertarian in disguise
11/08/19 7:14 am

Saying “the foundation wrongly ceded control of those funds to Trump’s campaign staff, who wrongly disbursed grants at campaign rallies for Trump’s political benefit. Tax-exempt nonprofit groups are legally required to avoid partisan politics.”

Is the only concern I could find, just curious if they have a myriad of events like this, or did it happen 1-2 times? Could a simple fine have addressed it? Like making the charity give funds of 5 times what political checks it wrote to a non-profit? I dunno, without more details I feel like the punishment doesn’t directly fit the crime?

.....

kscott516 Masks fail
11/08/19 8:06 am

Conservative, the Trump campaign gave 100% of the donations away. They didn’t keep any of it. The lawsuit is because the SDNY is claiming that by giving the money away at a rally that it violates the law in regards to charitable works and election campaigns.

zimmy Florida
11/08/19 8:07 am

Conserv- maybe so, but the courts believed otherwise. So according to the courts Trump didn’t allocate the money where it was supposed to go, now can courts be wrong? Of course! But they do have more details than we do. I assume?

zimmy Florida
11/08/19 8:08 am

Kscott- perhaps the courts are right? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sure I’m not arguing they did the wrong thing, I’m just saying that without knowing the seriousness of which this was, this could either be overreach, or spot on, or a nothing burger....

Zimmy. His charity gave over $19 million to other charities of which Trump donated $8 million of his own money. Your politicizing is not only dishonest but it is costing those charities future donations.

zimmy Florida
11/08/19 11:47 am

Think4- if you actually read the tread I was agreeing with Conserv, and again the courts said differently.

Zimmy. “The courts” are extremely biased and ridiculous. They are complaining because a charity gave Trump a painting after donating $10,000. When I give $10,000 to Shriners hospital for children I get a blanket as a gift. According to you guys I should be fined for personally benefitting for my donation.
