Do you think people have multiple potential partners (somewhere in the world) who they would consider to be their soul mate if they got married, or just one true soul mate?
I used to think one but I was naive then there’s definitely multiple for everyone why be limited to just one
I think there is more than one potential soul mate until you meet one of them. Then, the others are no longer soul mates in the running.

Which option is ridiculous
Is there a God/cosmic force that ensures this?
Oh never mind. Yeah I agree
Thousands. Maybe more. Out of the 7.5 billion, probably over a billion at any given moment are the right age and shape. I’d bet few of us have even met more than a few thousand of those.
I'd say multiple people; The world is a big place with many people.
When I was very young, I thought there might be just one. I haven’t believed that for decades.
I believe God chooses just one mate for us. That doesn't mean we all wait to meet that mate, nor does it mean we will follow His leading.
There are no designated mates, multiple or otherwise. Convenience, compatibility and the eye of the beholder are the main determining factors.
Man, mind if I steal that for my wedding vows: “There are no designated mates in this world. But you, you were convenient. You lived a reasonable 7.6 minutes away, and our work schedules were only an hour off. We were compatible, both from upper middle class Catholic families with average 110 IQs, and our career choices did not drive us apart. Also, your attractiveness is of acceptable level in my opinion.”
Have at it! I’m sure it will go over great! 🤣
