Christians: Inspired by Corinthians 11:2-6, Do you believe that women should wear a head covering in church?
Should we? Yes. But I don’t.
No, it’s referring to her hair. Her hair should be a glory to her husband.
Of course. Paul didn't say that just to hear himself speaking.
I’m glad that we agree here. 👍
Who knew you guys were big fans of hijabs! 🧕 😂
😂 It may come as a surprise to you, but in contrast to most other more nationalist leaning conservatives, I don’t think that I have *ever* had a problem with women wearing hijabs. And to be fair, I’m also fine with hats and other similar headwear as being sufficient for fulfilling Paul’s commandment here, even if something similar to a mantilla is preferable, in my opinion.
Yes, but I'm against face coverings for national security reasons.
Even though it was not mandatory, I’ve seen a lot of Christian women wear a scarf over their head.
That verse made sense for the time and the audience for which it was written. In those days for a woman to go uncovered in church would have been incredibly distracting and offensive to many people. Therefore, it was a way to keep people focused on the message.
No, I always thought he meant that long hair is an adequate substitute for a head covering
I guess if she’s Catholic she’s supposed too🧕🏻👷🏼♀️👩🏭👰🏼👩🏼🌾❗️
