Two Oklahoma state senators have introduced a bill that would rename a portion of the iconic Route 66 highway after Donald J. Trump. Is this a good idea?
That won’t age well....but it’s in character w the dust bowl state.
Isn’t his entire business before the presidency naming shit after himself?
Once he’s out of office, he can go back to naming things after himself. Typically, we only name things after good presidents, right?
You don’t see an Andrew Johnson High School our there, do you?
Fart ... this isn’t MrT doing the naming. Unlike you, many others see the great things MrT is doing for your country, in spite of you!
I, for one, am not in favor of renaming roads, not Martin Luther King Jr Drive and not Donald J Trump Highway.
“🔶 WARNING - Trumpy Road Ahead”
Doesn’t he have enough stuff already with his name plastered all over it?
Given his history with hookers and infidelity maybe it’s should be Route 69 - the Golden Shower byway. 💦
Suppressed ... still livin’ the lies, are you? Don’t let the facts get in your way.
I’m opposed to reflexive renaming of roads and buildings after living icons.
I agree for public roads and buildings, but for privately owned roads and buildings, anything goes.
It’s an iconic highway. Don’t taint it with a criminal and a traitor.
Obama named EVERYTHING after himself
The hypocrisy of the left on display yet again.
They did this while Trump is being impeached? Bad timing!!
I don't really care... It's not anyone ever refers to highways as the people they are named after... Just makes things confusing on gps
"Turn right on the Trump express way"
" Where?? All I see is signs for route 66"
Maybe not highways, but what about city streets?
I don't like the idea of naming things after siting president's but hey, if a city decides they want a trump blvd. That's their decision.
Oh, I meant whether people *used* the names if they were city streets. I guess they would, though; there isn’t any route number left behind to use instead, like there is with highways.
But that’s a good point about naming something after a *sitting* president. I think I remember similar controversies about something else (I forget what, though), but in general it’s usually an honor for someone who has died, isn’t it? On the other hand, Trump has his name on hotels, golf courses, and all manner of other things so why not a highway too. (Kidding.)
I’m not for it.
Is Oklahoma *really* “OK”?
Perhaps they should wait until after the inquiry.
Toss up for me.
