Should Mr Trump follow Mr Obama’s lead and prosecute “whistleblowers”?

I think the so called whistleblower, actually is not one. He’s passing along gossip and partisan opinion.

Yes, if they have broken the law in obtaining or dissimulating the secret information.

Okie ... did MrO in prosecuting lying whistleblowers or did he prosecute some who told the truth?

Don’t know. Since he’s a democrat I can reasonably assume they prosecuted anybody that disagreed with them regardless of whether there was a lie.

It wasn’t right then. It isn’t right now.

JPA ... finally we agree! Was what MrO did criminal?

It’s hard for me to cross the line into saying it was criminal. It is definitely worthy of being explored, though.

JPA ... has MrT treated the political hack / phony whistleblower the same way MrO treated the legitimate whistleblowers during the dark Obama years?

Mad ... it’s good that you can admit that MrO dealt illegally with the legitimate whistleblowers.

No. We’re better than that.

Yes, especially if they really aren’t whistleblowers but rather political hacks.

LJ ... while I agree, that wasn’t the question! The political hack that started the shampeachment is not a whistleblower, as he doesn’t have a whistle in this fight.

The irony here is that Democrats are clueless about their hypocrisy.

Obama only prosecuted those that exposed national security secrets and put our military in danger. Has Trump's whistleblower done the same?

No. He did not actually know anything to blow a whistle on, which should DQ him from being considered a whistleblower. He is a leaker and should be prosecuted for that

Hands ... justify how you must. The whistleblowers were supposed to be protected. Did MrO protect them?

Yes. I also disagreed with him on a lot of foreign policy, the bank bailouts, and I thought that obamacare was too much a copy of romneycare. I was livid when he agreed to axe the public option.
