Please pray for my friend Natalie. She is having vision problems and is very worried. Natalie is in her late 80โs, but still energetic and independent. She wants to stay that way. She saw a doctor today and needs more tests.
My grandpa is 89. He moved in with us a few years ago. He has macular degeneration. He officially gave up driving a few months ago. He rides the bus to still have his independence and get out of the house.
Thanks. He’s having a hard time accepting that he can’t live on his own anymore, though. I have to handle any business-type things, keep track of his doc appointments, help him with his TV (he gets closed captioning or alternate audio stuck on) and phone, etc.
Not praying, but I'm really hoping your friend's vision problem can be treated, and that she adjusts quickly and comfortably if it can't. Losing our independence is one of life's greatest challenges.
No. She has glaucoma, but it’s been under control for a while. The doctor doesn’t think this latest problem is related to the glaucoma.
It’s not macular degeneration and so far, the doctor is not sure what it is. He is sending her to a hematologist, because it seems to be related to her blood vessels, somehow.

She is an amazing woman. At her age, she lives in her own house, drives and volunteers in the community! Now, she fears that if she loses her vision, she will lose her independence.
I hope it’s something minor and treatable, but the doctor visits are dragging out, which has her very worried.
I think this is the first time I’ve posted a prayer poll.
Thanks for tagging me, GA! I will definitely be praying for her! I’ve noticed that my vision is getting worse, and I can’t read road signs until I’m right up on them, so I can understand her worry. It sounds like she is AMAZING!
Yes, I agree that He knows, RT! I don’t know if Jews do this, but Christians often ask for “unspoken” prayers. That means that it’s something that they don’t want to share the details with others about, but do need prayers. I believe that God knows exactly what those unspoken prayers mean. After all, He’s omniscient!
