Should ALL stores be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas to allow employees time with family?

Most certainly.

There’s no reason for them to be open on those days. Only hospitals and other necessary places should be open. Employees should be free to go home and celebrate.

Yes, they absolutely should. People working in low-wage jobs to provide for their families should be able to spend time with them too.

absolutely agree. i refuse to spend more than $75 on anyone during the “holiday” season” i don’t like continuing to fund corporate greed that time of year

I’d always take a thoughtful homemade gift over an expensive store-bought one anyways, they’re worth their weight in gold.

Worked in retail before, pretty diverse workforce, not everyone celebrates these days and we usually had more volunteers than positions to fill. Also had employees who counted on the extra holiday pay. Lots of nuance on this one.
