White, chair of Trump’s evangelical advisory board, said, “To say no to President Trump would be saying no to God, and I won’t do that.” ——. I’m speechless.

Not really. Have you not ever been led by God to serve in a certain capacity? See my comments under JPA, below. She wasn’t saying that Trump IS God or on the level of God. She was saying that God LED her to serve as Trump’s spiritual advisor. To say no would be refusing God’s leading in her life.

Then I would say that she should have expressed herself with different wording than she used.
If she meant what you said, that is what she should have said. Instead, she sounds like she is worshipping Man over God.

If you had read the article linked, instead of just the very misleading poll question, you’d know that she DID:

“Pastor Paula White claims that she was ordered by God to serve as an adviser to Trump: "To say 'no' to President Trump would be saying 'no' to God, and I won't do that."

This is the 2nd time just this week that someone on SoH has made a misleading, derogatory poll about Ms. White, that twiste what she said.

So I know I’m going to get flak from all the anti-Christian folks here but eff it - what White said is not about literal words, but about the seriousness of the words. Evangelicals (such as herself) believe that Trump is fighting to keep Democrats out of the Whitehouse who have shown an abundance of purposely that run absolutely counter to some Christian beliefs.

I say some, because this does not fit the bill of all Christians, but certainly does for the evangelicals.

Many Democratic front runners are for late term abortions now which is so much different than the platform they ran on 4 decades ago.

This article actually does a pretty good of summing up some of the concerns and why Trump has overwhelming support for Evangelicals:

blackrepublican.blogspot.com/2019/08/mystery-solved-why-evangelicals-support.html?m=1

“Trump has been strongly pro-life, strongly pro-American, strongly pro-Israel, strongly pro-capitalism, and he has pushed back against the freedom-robbing regulatory state. He cut taxes and he left evangelicals alone. He didn't sue the nuns. He doesn't want our guns.

Voting for Trump is not "trading Christian values for political power." It's voting in self-defense against the radical, evangelical-hating left and hoping for the best - and getting more than expected.”

I think she meant it was a signal from God, not that he was God. Believe me, I dislike her and Trump, but this seems to be taken out of context in the grand scheme of things.

JPA, thanks so much! EXACTLY! She felt led by God to serve Trump as his religious advisor. To say no to Trump’s request would have been telling God no, since she felt led by God to do so.

People that don’t understand this don’t know what it’s like to be led by God to do something. Those of us that have been called by God DO. This is no different than a pastor being called by God to pastor a certain church. If they turn that church down, they’re saying no to God.

Not if you’re a Christian and have been led by God to do something. It’s very easy to understand. See my comments above, under JPA’s comments.

For those that didn’t read the article, to see what she REALLY said, and just read this very misleading poll question, here is what she said:

Pastor Paula White claims that she was ordered by God to serve as an adviser to Trump: "To say 'no' to President Trump would be saying 'no' to God, and I won't do that."

Not disturbed. Following God’s will for her life. I’m sure there would be some Christians that would say the same thing about their service to Dem politicians! God leads different people to do different things.
