CDC Says Vaping-Related Lung Injuries Overwhelmingly Involve Black-Market THC Products, but It's Still Warning People to Avoid E-Cigarettes. I betcha big tobacco money is putting this hoax up.
Vaping has been a thing for a long time, and the widespread issues with it are relatively new. Something has changed. It may not just be the result of counterfeit products, but that and anything else that is a fairly recent development seem like good places to look first.
I don't believe there's been any illnesses linked to proper, vape-shop purchased vapes. All the issues have been from either shitty THC vapes, or gas station/convenience store purchased vapes as Blu and Juul.
But, so what? Why do we want people doing unhealthy habits anyway. And, it is killing people. I'd say it is our duty to report it and discourage their use.
People have a right to do what they want with their bodies, and that means alcohol, cigarettes, and vapes, even drugs. And yes, it should be reported on, but the reports should be factual and right now, they aren't. It's literally fake news.
We don’t know the full extent of the problem or the causes. The one thing that’s apparent at present is that the majority of cases result from vaping THC. It only makes sense to warn people about the dangers of vaping. Other causes may be the flavoring used, and unknown factors.
People have the right to do what they want with their bodies, including dangerous experimentation but there’s also a responsibility to warn them that the activity may permanently damage or kill them. What damage could it do except save lives until the reasons for this epidemic is clarified?
No, Juul isn't.. Juul is a very new competitor in the world of vaping, and they use pods which much use nicotine (also it seems like the ones that use pods have the main issues).
I'm completely fine with warning people, but @Kay41, you keep insisting that it's killing people. Are you missing the fact that regular, professionally-sold vapes, are NOT the problem?
We don't know that for sure. And, so what? With teens vaping and buying the cheap and off the market stuff, the campaign to stop vaping should continue.
