I make a yam bake every thanksgiving, but there isn’t a marshmallow in sight. I prepare the yams with milk, salt, butter, spices, and a hint of brown sugar. I top it with chopped pecans, cinnamon, flour, & butter.

I picked blazed carrots, but neither of these really look that great to me. I love sweet potatoes, but I hate them prepared in a sweet potato casserole that’s super sweet, I prefer them in a savory preparation!!! (I actually spent most of my life thinking that I hated sweet potatoes, because I was only offered them in a sweet sweet potato casserole or sweet potato pie.)
