That sounds good. My Mom has always candied sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving.

The one that mom preferred had orange juice & a pecan topping, but no marshmallows… It still did not seem tasty to me.

I’ve seen that recipe. I’m not all that crazy about pecans.

I usually bake sweet potatoes and add salt and butter. On Thanksgiving I candy them because it’s tradition. I’m not fond of this type of sweet potato casserole myself.

I do like candied/glazed carrots. Clients would always ask me to make them.

I don’t really care for candied or glazed of either vegetable. I love both of them roasted!

My favorite way to have carrots is Copper Pennies. Have you ever had them that way?

With sweet potatoes, I typically roast them or sometimes mash them & season them with salt & pepper & sometimes sage.

I don’t prepare sweet potatoes that way. I candy them with brown sugar and butter on Thanksgiving. Otherwise I just bake them and add butter and salt the rest of the year. I like marshmallows but in s’mores or a candy bar.

Lol I never cook mushy carrots! I just soften them so they aren’t crunchy. I would never eat them myself if they were mushy. 😝

I totally agree. I like a sweet potato baked. With butter on it.

That’s how I normally prepare sweet potatoes. I just jazz them up on Thanksgiving.

I never have cared for them. I have a big sweet tooth but I guess those are overpowering.

Carrots are only good when raw. Otherwise it’s a no go for me! I love regular potatoes. Sweet potatoes don’t compare!!
